Couple of weeks catch up!

Well, I have not updated for a few weeks...that doesn't mean to say I haven't been on it! I have just not found a moment to update and then next thing you know a few weeks have flown past.

I am so glad January is over and done with, I really dislike January, such a depressing month. Everyone gets sick, nobody has any money and it's still cold and dark. February is here! Even though it's turned a little but colder...the nights are starting to stay light a bit longer..yay! This month is a bit shorter and Spring is on the horizon :)

So, where was I with my weight loss?? Oh yes, the last time I wrote I had put on 1.5lb! I have sorted my head space out since then, spoken to my consultant (and friend) and I am so back in the game.

I'll do my measurements first, as they are to hand. I measured myself again a week ago which was a month since the last.

Bust: 46.5 inch (lost 0.5 inch in a month)
Waist: 40 inch (lost 1.5 inch in a month)
Hips: 51 inch (lost 1 inch in a month)

So, I can tell that the gym sessions I am doing are also working.  Now, for the weights!

I was quite pleased with that, lost what I had gained the previous week so I felt I was back on an even keel.

I got my 3.5 stone award! I was very happy, the little awards and recognition are what keeps me going. I keep all of them and share with my friends who are very supportive.

I am ok with that, I wish it was more. I have a feeling my weight loss is slowing a little, I am getting a but worried about that. I am very impatient and would love this weight to fall off quickly...but then wouldn't we all! If it was that easy everyone would do it.
I had a good talk with my consultant and she suggested swapping some foods around, upping my protein, limiting potatoes and making sure I start with a good breakfast...such as porridge and berries. I have rose to the challenge.

I decided to do extra at the gym, instead of my normal 2 hours on a sat and 2 on a sun I did Friday night too...over that weekend I did 7.5 hours at the gym...I was flying!

I have to say I was completely gutted by this loss! All that work I did in the gym I felt was for nothing. Debbie gave me a good talking to and said whilst the scales may not have shown it I had probably lost inches, hence why I decided to measure myself again (see above).

I wasn't on the verge of giving up but I was quite disheartened, I felt I had gone from someone doing excellent at weight loss and flying to someone who was struggling and trudging through it, even though I had not cheated on my diet!

I am persevering, I took some recent pictures of myself and showed them to people I had not seen in a while, their words of enncouragement spurred me on and I was back to my old self. Although I only went to the gym on Saturday and Monday ha! I admit I did do a spot of Just Dance on the Wii though.

Award - Slimmer of the week

I am so pleased with that result, I feel like I am back in the game. Whether it is my gym work catching up with me or my food optimising or a mixture of the two, I am just happy my hard work is showing results again.

Only 2lbs to go until I get to 4 stone loss! Once I get to that milestone I am treating myself, back in the day a treat would have been chocolate cake or something similarly calorific..this time I shall be treating myself to a massage, I think I deserve the pampering.
